Coffee production is expected to grow by 17.1% in 2026.

The first estimate for coffee production in 2026 indicates a harvest of 66.2 million bags, a volume 17.1% higher than that recorded in the previous cycle. The projected growth reflects the positive bienniality of the crop, the 4.1% increase in the area under production, estimated at 1.9 million hectares, and the increase in productivity, expected at 12.4%, with a yield expected at 34.2 bags per hectare. The information is contained in the 1st Survey of the 2026 Coffee Crop, released this Thursday (5) by the National Supply Company. If confirmed, the production is expected to surpass the previous record in the historical series of the state-owned company, registered in 2020, when 63.1 million bags were harvested.
