The largest manufacturers of pasteurized milk and its derivatives in the Moroccan market have increased product prices, affecting basic items widely consumed by citizens. The price increase, due to high production costs and high inflation, is understood but condemned by the Moroccan University of Consumer Rights. The Director General of the Interprofessional Organization of Morocco Milk has expressed concern about unpasteurized milk sold directly to consumers, leading to health risks. To support the milk-related industries, the Minister of Agriculture has announced a set of measures including support for livestock feed and cattle breeding.
