To enhance international competitiveness and lead the future market, representatives from the government, industry, and civil society gathered together. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries held a two-day training session at the Daejeon KW Convention Center on the 20th to discuss the leap towards becoming a global leader in K-pelagic fisheries (photo). This training session was held nine years after the government and industry discussed preventing illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing in March 2016, marking a new vision for the pelagic industry. Over 100 participants, including representatives from the government, industry, pelagic shipping companies, transport shipping companies, and civil society (NGOs), attended the session to discuss achievements and future directions.
