REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Efforts to strengthen the food security of the working community in Jakarta and its surroundings are being intensified through a collaboration between the All-Indonesia Workers' Confederation (KSPSI) and the Jakarta Greater Area Prosperous Citizens Cooperative (KOWAJA). Both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the procurement and distribution of rice directly from farmers, ensuring that workers have access to rice at more stable and affordable prices. KOWAJA Chairman Biem Benjamin said that this collaboration brings dual benefits, supporting the sustainability of farmers' income while maintaining the purchasing power of workers.
