The National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa) in Argentina is partnering with the Argentine Confederation of Hunting Entities (CONAECI) to monitor wild bird deaths and diseases like avian influenza. This collaboration aims to coordinate hunting activities with sample taking and communication to local veterinarians for testing and notification. The data will be referred to Senasa laboratories for analysis and will be used to improve disease surveillance and management. Hunters, who are spread across the country, will play a crucial role in amplifying alert systems and providing samples for surveillance of important diseases.
