By Luciana Dyniewicz, Paula Ferreira, and Juliana Domingos de Lima, from Estadão Belém, 21/11/2025 - The new draft of the final document from the United Nations Climate Summit (COP30), published in the early hours of today and which makes no mention of the need to create the so-called roadmap towards ending the use of oil and other fossil fuels, has disappointed environmentalists and caused a stir among authorities. The roadmap had gained support from around 80 countries, according to civil society organizations, and was one of the demands of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) at the Leaders' Summit, which preceded COP30. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also supported the measure. Among the supporters are Germany and the United Kingdom. However, oil-producing nations are resisting.
