The Mesa Brasileira da Pecuária Sustentável (MBPS) presented a strategic document with evidence, recommendations, and proposals for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which takes place from November 10 to 21 in Belém (PA). The objective is to show how Brazilian cattle farming contributes concretely to the climate crisis and global food security. Brazil holds the largest commercial cattle herd in the world, with more than 202 million head, and is responsible for 27% of global beef exports. According to the MBPS, the Brazilian agribusiness is crucial for the planet, feeding about 800 million people worldwide. The MBPS study indicates that there is still significant room for sustainable growth in cattle farming.
