The article reports on the significant decrease in corn harvest in a specific region due to extreme environmental conditions, including lack of rain and high temperatures. The yields of the late harvest have severely dropped, and the region has experienced its most productive cycle in the last 12 years, with only 34 quintals per hectare. This is a quarter of the corn volume from the previous year, which also suffered due to drought. The strategy of sowing late to avoid drought has not been effective, and the average yields are around 55 quintals per hectare in Marcos Juárez, with higher yields in Pergamino but still falling short of expectations.
