The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Beijing forecasts a 4.2% increase in Chinese corn production for the 2023/24 season, reaching a total of 288.8 million tons. This rise is attributed to an expected increase in both area and yield. Furthermore, China's corn imports are projected to grow by 6.9% to 20 million tons in the same period. In the first two months of the 2023/24 marketing year, China has already imported 5.6 million tons of corn, primarily from Brazil.
