Correlation between pepsin digestibility with metabolizable energy and amino acid digestibility coefficients of swine offal and bone meal for broiler chickens in Brazil

The production of broilers and swine are activities responsible for the production of high quality animal protein and of great socioeconomic importance in the world panorama, being responsible for generating a large number of jobs for the population. Brazil is the fourth largest producer of chicken meat in the world, with 13.845 million tons produced in the year 2020, a figure that corresponded to a 4.33% increase compared to 2019, and the country is still the largest exporter with 4.231 million tons exported (ABPA, 2021). In the same year, the production of pork showed a significant increase of 10.21% compared to 2019, producing 4.436 million tons of meat and of this total 1.024 million tons were destined for the foreign market, results that maintained the country fourth among the largest pork producing and exporting countries (ABPA, 2021).
