Cottonseed oil rises with demand for biofuels

According to the weekly analysis of the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), released this Monday (25), the price of cotton lint available in Mato Grosso was quoted at R$ 905.27 per ton, which represents a drop of 3.78% compared to the previous week and a decrease of 12.46% compared to the same period last month. The institute explained that "the movement is driven by the advancement of the harvest in the state, so that availability has increased and, consequently, pressured prices."
