Starting from last month 26, Yeonggwang County (County Head Jang Se-il) will accept applications for the government-supplied rice seeds produced this year at the Jeonnam branch of the National Institute of Crop Science. The government-supplied seeds have passed strict seed testing and quality management, ensuring high germination rates and maintaining the inherent characteristics of the varieties. The varieties available for supply this year are four types (Saecheongnu, Baekokchal, Dongjinchal, Jomyeong 1-ho), and applications will be accepted from last month 26 until December 12 at the township agricultural counseling centers and agricultural technology centers. Meanwhile, the supply of next year's Sindongjin rice seeds will be completely halted at the Jeonnam branch of the National Institute of Crop Science, and the supply of Baekokchal seeds will also decrease by about 61% compared to last year.
