Vietnamese giant-size crabs increased in price sharply

A survey at a seafood store in Ho Chi Minh City showed that the price of farmed mud crabs in Ca Mau increased by about 300,000 VND, to the highest of 850,000 VND per kg, and of brick crabs by 1 million VND, up 30% compared to last week. Blue crabs are now also 200,000 VND more expensive, up to 750,000 VND per kg. Similarly, red King Grab crab (Emperor crab) increased by 200,000 VND to 2.8 million VND kg. Large green lobster is priced at 1.8 million VND per kg, an increase of about 300,000 VND. Squid of 5 kg each is priced at 450,000 VND, an increase of 150,000 VND compared to the previous month.
