Spain's cucumber imports hit a record high in the 2023/2024 campaign, importing a total of 17.17 million kilos at a value of 21.55 million euros, with an average price of €1.25/kg. Morocco was the leading supplier, accounting for 79.41% of the total volume, marking a ten-year increase of 143% in Spanish imports of Moroccan cucumbers. Despite Morocco's dominance, other countries also contributed to the record-breaking imports. This trend highlights the growing reliance of Spain on international partners, especially Morocco, to meet its cucumber demand.
