The almonds allowed to be imported from Uzbekistan are those made from almonds grown in Uzbekistan, selected, cleaned, dried, or processed through other techniques in Uzbekistan, and intended for human consumption.
Uzbekistan almonds imported into China must not contain quarantine pests of concern to China: apple codling moth, grape leaf roller, Ferrisia virgata, almond wasp, and Fusarium solani. Imported Uzbekistan almonds must not contain live insects or any other added or mixed impurities.
Uzbekistan almonds should be dehydrated using heat processing machinery such as ovens or drying machines, and moldy kernels should be removed during the processing. The entire process of planting, production, processing, storage, transportation, and export of Uzbekistan almonds should be guided and supervised to ensure compliance with the relevant safety and health requirements of both countries, preventing contamination by pathogenic microorganisms or toxic and harmful substances.
Upon arrival at the Chinese entry port, the Chinese customs will implement inspection and quarantine supervision. If they meet the requirements, they will be allowed to enter the country. If the Chinese side finds that the imported Uzbekistan almonds violate relevant Chinese laws, regulations, national food safety standards, and the provisions of the "Protocol," the Chinese customs will handle the situation according to relevant Chinese laws and regulations, and will inform the Uzbek side of the violations and the measures taken.
