In the first quarter of 2024, China's bee product exports, including honey, royal jelly, bee pollen, beeswax, and other bee products, saw a mixed performance with a slight overall decrease of 2% from the previous year, totaling 45,276.66 tons. Honey exports experienced a decline in both volume and price, while royal jelly exports surged by 23.76%, bee pollen exports increased by 18.71%, and beeswax exports rose by 21.89%. However, other bee products experienced an 18.78% decrease in exports. The United Kingdom, Japan, and Belgium were the leading importers of honey, and Zhejiang Province led in royal jelly and royal jelly freeze-dried powder exports. Henan Province dominated the exports of bee pollen and beeswax. Despite the increase in export volumes, the prices of honey, bee pollen, and beeswax fell in the first quarter.
