The Chinese Customs updates Zambian blueberry import requirements and relaxes cold processing conditions

On September 19, the General Administration of Customs issued an announcement on its official website, relaxing the requirements for the import of fresh blueberries from Zambia and allowing cold treatment of blueberries during transportation. Zambia is the first country in Southern Africa to obtain blueberries from China Customs. The General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of Zambia signed a protocol on phytosanitary requirements for Zambian fresh blueberries exported to China on November 13 of the same year. The first batch of blueberries was produced, but the local production conditions were difficult to meet the cold processing requirements.
