Danyang County has completed the supply of superior garlic strains to 112 farms.

Danyang County in Chungbuk has completed a superior seed supply project to maintain the quality of Danyang garlic and strengthen the stable production base. The county accepted applications from farms wishing to receive superior seeds for two weeks starting from last August and distributed approximately 4,000 kg of superior seeds to a total of 112 farms last month. This supply was carried out to solve the issue of seed renewal for Danyang garlic and to support farms in reducing the time and cost, which takes 2 to 3 years, required for farms to cultivate garlic seeds themselves. The supplied superior seeds were purchased from three farms participating in the "Danyang Garlic Seed Professional Farmer Cultivation Pilot Project" being promoted by the county agricultural technology center and supplied.
