A recent study conducted by the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) and Fundação Maio Biodiversidade (FMB) has revealed a significant decline in fish stocks along the West African coast over the past five decades. This finding poses a serious threat to food security and the livelihoods of fishing communities in the region.
