Porto Alegre, February 24, 2023 – The total number of ships waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports stood at 31 in the week ended February 22, compared to 36 in the previous week (15), according to a survey carried out by the shipping agency Williams Brazil. According to the report, shipments of 1.050 million tons of sugar were scheduled, compared to 1.243 million in the previous week. The greater part (837,400 thousand tons) must be loaded through the Port of Santos (SP). Then appear the port of Paranaguá, in Paraná (75,500 tons), Recife, in Pernambuco (63.48 thousand tons), Maceió, in Alagoas (63 thousand tons), and Suape, in Pernambuco (11 thousand tons).
