Denmark's canned meat exports to the US skyrocketed

US canned meat imports in 2020 reached 152,000 tons, up 4.5% from the previous year. Canada, Brazil and Poland are the largest suppliers of canned meat to the US, accounting for 72% of total US canned meat imports. In 2020, Denmark emerged as the fastest growing exporter of canned meat to the US, up 59% year on year. In 2020, imports from Canada 61,000 tons, Brazil 40,000 tons and Poland 9,500 tons, followed by Chile, Mexico, Denmark and Uruguay, accounting for 21%.
