As Ramadan approaches in Bilecik, the process of setting the prices of pide begins as it does every year, with a 5 TL increase made only to the pide this year. Last year in Bilecik, 330-gram pide was sold for 25 TL, but this year, upon the proposal of the Bilecik Chambers of Craftsmen and Artists Union, it was submitted to the commission to reduce the weight of Ramadan pide to 300 grams and increase the price to 30 TL. Bilecik Governorship objected to the proposed increase being above the inflation rate.
