The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) implemented 271 cocoa post-harvest modules in the Valley of the Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro Rivers (Vraem), with the objective of improving the quality of the bean, strengthening the economy of the producing families, and promoting sustainable production. This intervention directly benefited 4,765 families from 16 districts in the regions of Ayacucho, Cusco, and Junín, who actively participated in the process through coordinated work with Devida, contributing labor and supplementing the setup with materials from the area.
