Mexico: Domesticate and certify oregano, challenge in the North of Jalisco

With the objective of fully involving producers in the oregano production chain in the Northern Region of Jalisco, an organization was formed that has the task of achieving the domestication of this wild shrub and giving a new approach to its commercialization abroad and in the domestic environment. This plant, abundant in the region, is in great demand in gastronomy and in other sectors, such as the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
