Turkey's chestnut exports and revenue have seen a significant increase in the first 11 months of 2021, with a 31% rise in volume and a 79% increase in revenue compared to the previous year. The export price per ton also increased by 84%, reaching $3,490. The Aegean Region was responsible for 84% of these exports, generating $20 million. Italy was the main importer, followed by Germany and the Netherlands. The quality of the chestnuts has been praised for its export suitability, and the country aims to reach a $50 million export target.
