The Lakes and Fisheries Protection and Development Agency in Egypt has released 550,000 Nile tilapia and grass carp fry into the Bahr Mouis in Zagazig, as part of a plan to boost fish stocks, improve the environment, and support food security. The release is part of a larger initiative to increase fish production and develop lakes in Egypt, with the agency having released over 9.5 million fry from various hatcheries across the governorate. This initiative is part of the Egyptian government's comprehensive plan to promote sustainable development, protect water resources, and support local fisheries.
