As of March 18, 2024, durian prices in Vietnam are high, with Ri6 and Thai durians priced at 136,000 VND/kg and 212,000 VND/kg respectively in the Southwest region. The first two months of 2024 saw a significant 44.3% increase in fruit and vegetable exports, reaching nearly 815.13 million USD, compared to the same period in 2023. China remains the main export market, accounting for 61.5% of Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable export turnover. The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT) anticipates positive export developments in 2024, particularly to China, where durian exports reached 2.3 billion USD in 2023.
