During the year, Ukraine purchased Turkish tomatoes worth almost $65 million

Exports of tomatoes from Turkey in 2023 increased by 42.8% compared to the previous year, reaching $538.7 million (16 billion Turkish Liras), reports the Exporters Association of Southeast Anatolia (Turkey), West Observer reports. In total, Turkey exported 588.42 thousand tons of tomatoes to 52 countries of the world, in particular to Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain, Denmark, Azerbaijan, Qatar and the Russian Federation. Romania was at the forefront of the countries to which Turkey exported the most in 2023 — for $91.98 million. It is followed by Ukraine — with $64.6 million, followed by Poland — $56.65 million and Germany — $53.98 million.
