The Eastern Black Sea Exporters' Association reported a 22% increase in Turkish salmon exports from the region, reaching 19,989 tons in the first eight months of the year. The exports generated 114 million 420 thousand 684 dollars, a 10% increase in value compared to the same period last year. Russia was the leading buyer, accounting for 79 million 330 thousand 220 dollars of the total income. Other countries including Belarus, Vietnam, Ukraine, Lithuania, the Philippines, Egypt, Spain, Kenya, and Denmark also made purchases. The majority of the exports, worth 66 million 843 thousand 300 dollars, were made from Trabzon.
