The European Commission has approved the addition of the Hungarian product, 'Jászsági nyári szvasgomba', a local variety of fresh summer truffles, to the Register of Protected Geographical Indications (PGI). These truffles, known for their unique aroma and intense taste, are naturally found in the Jászság region in northwest Hungary from late May to late August. The product is highly valued and will now be included among the 1,561 food products already listed in the eAmbrosia database.
