Red and white egg prices in Egypt have increased for two consecutive days, with a carton now costing 66.75 pounds for both red and white eggs, and 73.75 pounds for municipal eggs. This price increase follows a period of declining egg prices due to reduced demand for chicks and concerns over feed crises. The government is working with the Central Bank to ensure sufficient fodder release, having already released 876 thousand tons of corn and soybeans worth $432 million since mid-October. Egypt achieves 95% self-sufficiency in bird production, with the annual production being 1.6 billion birds.
