Egypt exports 11,000 tons of sweet potatoes in 7 days

Egypt exported nearly 11,000 tons of sweet potatoes last week, ranking first on the list of exported vegetables during that period, according to a report by the General Administration Information Center for both exports and imports at the National Food Safety Authority. Beans of all kinds came in second on the list of food exports of vegetables with a total of 8,000 tons, followed by onions with a total of 7,500 tons, while the total number of exported vegetable varieties reached 70 varieties with about 43,000 tons. The largest Egyptian vegetables exported during the week Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Turkey represented the largest countries receiving Egyptian exports during the past week out of a total of 184 importing countries.
