Egyptian potato exporters are set to supply the EU with the highest volume of potatoes in the last three years due to low potato harvests in the EU and Egypt's devalued currency, making its products more attractive in terms of price. Egypt has already exported 211,000 tons of potatoes to the EU in the first four months of this year, the highest result since 2021. The EU is one of the largest potato importers, with Egypt and Israel providing the majority of imports during the spring and early summer.
