Andalusia broke a historical sales record and secured its place as the national leader in vegetable exports in the period from January to October 2023, with a total invoice of 3,181 million euros, a 4% increase year-on-year, and a trade surplus of 2,931 million euros. The province responsible for the new record in Andalusia is Almería, which concentrates 80% of the community's total exports, with 2,546 million euros, and the province of Cádiz showed the best growth in Andalusia, with an increase of 48% in vegetable exports. The Andalusian horticultural industry has become an increasingly strategic sector within the community's agri-food complex, demonstrating high competitiveness in reaching international markets.
