Russia: Environmental compromise and import substitution in poultry farming - a prospect for the near future

Obtaining comprehensive environmental permits and biosafety at poultry farms, the construction of a breeding reproductive facility for domestic poultry crosses and plans for the poultry industry were discussed at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region. “In 2024, production modernization continues at individual poultry farms in the Chelyabinsk region, the technological scheme is changing, including due to the need to obtain comprehensive environmental permits,” said Minister Alexey Kobylin. – This affected the volume of production.
