Animal health and welfare have gained ground in recent years in the European Union. And not only because of the measures proposed by the different MEPs, the population, through the well-known Eurobarometer, has also demonstrated its concern for implementing regulations that advocate for the well-being of all species. All because, among citizen proposals and political measures, there are both domestic animals and other species destined for production or other animals. Since the beginning of this last European legislature, in May 2019, there have been numerous actions carried out in the EU to improve the health and well-being of animals.
