A workshop organized by the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, in collaboration with stakeholders from the Chilean wine industry, discussed the challenges and opportunities for the sector's global positioning. The main focus was on the need for diversification, especially for smaller wineries, to enhance their competitive edge. The workshop underscored the importance of connecting academic research with the industry and emphasized Chile's role in the global wine market. A blind wine tasting event was also held to differentiate the quality of grape strains, highlighting the industry's significance in terms of employment and economic contribution.
