In 2024, Ukraine is experiencing a challenging grape harvest due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in poor berry quality and significant price hikes. Farmers are shifting focus to quality over quantity by reducing cultivation areas and implementing irrigation. Wholesale grape prices are projected to be UAH 45-55 per kg, with current prices at UAH 65. Potato prices are also on the rise, with wholesale rates increasing to UAH 17-22 per kg. The fruit and berry market is undergoing changes, with affordable pears and grapes becoming scarce. Additionally, President Zelensky has enacted a law on wine production, and Ukrainian farmers have received UAH 1.06 billion in state support.
