From April to August of the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the Myanmar Rice Federation will normally export 200,000 tons of rice each month, and it is reported that 200,000 tons will also be exported in September.
Efforts are being made to prepare for the subsequent months from October until the end of March 2026 to export 300,000 tons of rice each month, with priority given to exports to Bangladesh and China.
The plan for the 2025-2026 fiscal year is to export approximately 3 million tons of rice and broken rice to foreign countries.
Currently, the export of rice and broken rice to foreign countries cannot be conducted through border trade and can only be done through sea transport.
