Vietnam has experienced a significant increase in agricultural exports, with tuna exports up by 25% to nearly US$397 million, canned tuna being preferred by inflation-weary consumers. The US, EU, and Israel were the main importers. Crab exports also surged by 84% to US$101 million, with China and Japan as the largest buyers. Pangasius exports saw a slight 3% increase to nearly US$755 million, and shrimp exports were valued at US$1.3 billion, up by 7%. Exports to the US, Japan, EU, and the Republic of Korea showed positive growth, while shipments to China fell by 8% due to economic stagnation. Vietnamese pangasius has gained a strong foothold in the Chinese market as importers have shifted to more affordable options.
