The State of São Paulo maintains national leadership in lemon production and shows growth in fruit exports. According to data from the Institute of Agricultural Economics (IEA – Apta), from the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of SP (SAA), in 2024, production exceeded 1.1 million tons. The fruit sent to the European country is distributed to other markets in the bloc. Other destinations include the United Kingdom (11.6 thousand t), Russia (1.3 thousand t), and Canada (970 t).
