Exports of shelled hazelnuts from Azerbaijan increased by 21% in January-September

Azerbaijan exported 15 thousand 252.88 tons of hazelnuts in January-September 2023, which is 20.7% higher than the figure for 9 months of 2022, the State Statistics Committee told the Interfax-Azerbaijan agency. The value of exported peeled nuts is estimated at $78 million 256.2 thousand (an increase of 10.8%). Among the main importers of hazelnuts are Russia, Germany, and Italy. In particular, in January-September, 8 thousand 452.84 tons (an increase of 47.6%) were exported to Russia for $40 million 246.3 thousand (an increase of 31%), to Germany – 2.529 thousand tons (an increase of 37.5%) for $14 million 373.14 thousand (an increase of 25%), to Italy - 1.849 thousand tons (a decline of 51%) for $10 million 416.29 thousand (a decline of 55.8%).
