In a significant move to boost domestic aquaculture, Ukraine's aquafarmers have received 50 tons of fish feed, courtesy of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and supported by the General Commission for Fisheries in the Mediterranean and the European Union. This initiative, part of a program to support salmon fish species producers, has benefited 13 enterprises across 14 oblasts, focusing on enhancing trout and sturgeon production. With this support, aquaculture production in Ukraine is set to see a substantial increase, exemplified by one farm's projection to raise its trout production to 30 tons, alongside significant sturgeon and sturgeon fry outputs.
