The Czech Republic is experiencing a decline in apple cultivation due to the shift to more profitable crops. The Fruit Growers' Union predicts that the country's orchards will drop below 10,000 in number, following last year's where apple producers received less per kilogram of apples than estimated, leading to significant losses. However, agricultural expert Tomáš Maier from the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague believes that while the Czech Republic may not lead in apple production, Czech apples will still survive.
