Turkey's aquaculture sector has seen a 38% increase in market growth, making $522 million in foreign sales in the first five months of the year. The country leads in aquaculture exports, surpassing EU nations, with a notable increase in demand, particularly in European countries. The exports of sea bass, sea bream, and trout have significantly risen, with Turkish salmon doubling in amount. The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association aims for $2 billion in exports by 2023, a goal bolstered by the rising demand for healthy food products during the pandemic. Additionally, exports of fishing products have also seen an increase due to the pandemic.
