A recent study by Kantar has shown that 14% of adult Poles want to try the mini-kiwi fruit this year, indicating its growing popularity. Poland is a leader in the cultivation of this fruit, which is recently becoming available in other European countries, the USA, New Zealand, and China. The mini-kiwi, also known as Actinidia arguta, has been selected for commercial cultivation for 25 years and comes from Asia. The fruit is much smaller than a regular kiwi, weighing only 6 to 12 grams, and has a sweet, aromatic taste with notes of various tropical fruits. They are best consumed fresh and chilled for full flavor.
