Several parts of Afghanistan have been hit by severe flooding; according to the Afghan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock, onions are among the crops hit hard by the floods. Mirwais Hajizada, deputy head of the Afghan Chamber of Agriculture: "Floods in several provinces have damaged our agricultural sector. The growers have suffered because a lot of agricultural land has been affected, especially the crops of wheat and onions."
