Russia: Flour exports from Bashkiria doubled at the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of 2024, the volume of exports of rye and wheat flour from Bashkiria has increased 2.2 times, the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor reported. Farmers exported 602 tons of flour abroad; last year for the same period the figure was 266.5 tons. Products were delivered to Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in 2024. At the beginning of last year, buyers were Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Since the beginning of the year, 12 phytosanitary certificates have been issued for flour from Bashkiria, for the same period in 2023 - five. “Samples of grain processing products, selected by specialists from the plant quarantine department to control the quality of grain and seeds, were tested in the testing laboratory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “ARRIAH.” According to the results of examinations, no dangerous quarantine organisms were identified in the regulated products,” the department noted.
