Food Minister: Farmers Happy After President Prabowo Lowers Subsidized Fertilizer Prices

REPUBLICA.CO.ID, JOMBANG -- Farmers have welcomed the policy of reducing the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of subsidized fertilizer by 20 percent, which was set by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Food Crops of the Republic of Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan, during his visit to farmers in Jombang Regency, East Java, on Saturday (25/10/2025). He was the first minister to directly review the policy of reducing the MRP of subsidized fertilizer since it was implemented on October 22, 2025. He hopes that the reduction in the MRP will meet the needs of registered farmers in the Definitive Needs Plan for Groups (e-RDK) during the end of the 2025 planting season.
