Paraguay: Fourth week of stability in the price of local steers

For the fourth week in a row, and without major alterations in terms of supply and demand, the price of Paraguayan cattle maintains USD 3.15. It is the third highest value in the region behind Argentina and Brazil. In the last seven days the price of the Argentine steer was quoted at USD 3.74, an increase of four cents, compared to the previous report. The meatpackers had raised offers of $50-100 less last week, which they had to reverse in order to buy more according to their slaughter programs.
